It is now almost certain—99.987% certain, that elements of our own government were funding bioweapon research facilities in Ukraine.
Establishment politicians can jump around and deny this all day, but there is a 2005 Washington Post article which indicates that at least one of these facilities was paid a visit by Barack Obama, and other Senators.
Recent reports have even implicated Hunter Biden, as having an alleged role in the funding scheme, by helping funnel Pentagon money into these efforts.
Now we are seeing foreign sources openly call this behavior out—the cat is out of the bag, so to speak.

Daily Mail highlights the Russian allegations of U.S. funded, Wuhan style, labs in Ukraine:

The New York Post claims:
A trove of e-mails on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop — the existence of which was exclusively reported by The Post in October 2020 — found that he played a role in helping a California defense contractor analyze killer diseases and bioweapons in Ukraine.
