The House passed a $40 billion dollar foreign aid package for Ukraine late in the evening. The fact that it happened at night when most Americans had gone to bed seems fitting. The Gateway Pundit shared some of the details of what took place.

The House of Representatives on Tuesday evening voted 368-57 to approve a $40 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine. The bill will head to the Senate.

According to reports, the Senate will look to vote on the measure sometime next week.

According to NPR, the bill won’t face much resistance in the Senate.

The measure now goes to the Senate, which Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said will act on it “swiftly” and send to President Biden.

In a letter to her House colleagues ahead of the vote, Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote “Time is of the essence — and we cannot afford to wait. With this aid package, America sends a resounding message to the world of our unwavering determination to stand with the courageous people of Ukraine until victory is won.”

What is important to note is while 57 nay notes all came from Republicans, there are a total of 211 that are in the House. That means that 154 Republicans, the party of fiscal responsibility voted in favor of sending taxpayer dollars to pay for a foreign war. And we wonder why President Trump couldn’t get anything done. It would seem there are more RINO’s in the House than some would have imagined.

Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter to voice what many of us are feeling.

Others were quick to point out the hypocrisy of the Left.

I mean, this is more money than it would cost to fix a large portion of our degrading infrastructure. Let’s not even get started on securing our borders.

Of course, those in the international community, especially in Ukraine were quick to congratulate and praise the passing of this bill in the House. I mean why wouldn’t they? There was a time when Obama was really popular among his international colleagues as well. It usually preceded him sending billions in “foreign aid” to actors hostile towards US interests.

Look, Denys Shmyhal, a Ukraine politician is very excited about the idea of getting a hole of this aid package.

And that is the troubling thing. American and Ukrainian politicians are leveraging the lives of innocents to potentially orchestrate one of the greatest cash grabs in American history. It’s truly remarkable.

Sadly, the voice of opposition in the House fell to only a few brave representatives that refused to participate in such an egregious act toward American taxpayers.

Congressman Troy Nehls made the common sense observation that you can support a nation without sending $40 billion.

Here is Marjorie Taylor Green sticking to her guns on standing against this bill.

We all know that the dynamics between Russia and Ukraine are much deeper than one country invading another.

For many, it is clear that two major things are at play. First, this is a proxy war possibly to cover up some form of corruption.

The Left accused President Trump of bringing America to the brink of war yet it was Joe Biden who handed over weaponry to violent armed extremists in Afghanistan by leaving in the middle of the night. Now, before his first term is even over, Biden is funneling billions of dollars into the Ukraine conflict.

Probably the greatest motivator in this conflict is the money to be made by the entire institutional complex. There is guilt on both sides of the aisle. The fact that over a hundred Republicans voted yes without batting an eye is mortifying. It also hints at just how profitable this entire charade is going to be for the people in power. They have proven once again their willingness to sell out our nation for a few dollars of our own currency.
