In light of the dust up recently between Will Smith and Chris Rock — the slap heard round the world — I thought it would be good to cover another Oscars moment.
A better one.

I found it boring.
I also think it was staged to try and get ratings up.

But here’s something I find MUCH more interesting…
This was Ricky Gervais hosting the Oscars and absolutely torching all of HollyWeird.
Literally calling them pedos right to their faces.
And you know what?
No one ran up and punched HIM in the face!
Imagine that.
Maybe because…it’s true?
I don’t know, I’m just saying I find it interesting.

That’s technically only my SECOND favorite awards show hosting gig of all time.
The first goes hands down to the inimitable Norm Macdonald.
Still can’t believe Norm is gone.
But his comedy lives on and his destruction of the Espy Awards is still one of my favorite moments of all time.
