Democrats sure love to think up new forms of gun control.
The latest example is from New Jersey’s Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, who wants to track ammunition sales with a database.
Does that sound like what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment?
Breitbart News reports:

NJ.com reports that Murphy also pushed for a raising the minimum age to purchase a shotgun from 18 to 21 years and to “change how firearm owners in the state are required to store their guns.”
CBS News notes that Murphy also pushed a ban on “.50-caliber firearms.”
While addressing .50 caliber firearms Murphy said they “can take down helicopters. Ukrainians need them. We don’t need them in New Jersey. Who can seriously argue that these weapons of war belong on our streets?”

Murphy pushed his gun controls from behind the pulpit of a church in Paterson.
He also wants to ban certain kinds of guns?
From Newsmax:
From Murphy’s perspective, it’s all about getting high-caliber guns off the streets.
“Ban the sale of .50-caliber firearms,” said Murphy, adding that high-caliber weapons “can take down helicopters. Ukrainians need them. We don’t need them in New Jersey. Who can seriously argue that these weapons of war belong on our streets?”
According to EverytownResearch.Org, New Jersey already has universal background checks “for handgun purchases at point of sale and/or for permit to purchase.”
There are also enacted measures pertaining to red flag laws, gun storage requirements, an assault weapons ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, regulations for so-called ghost guns, and regulations on the open carrying of firearms, among other controls, EverytownResearch says.
This is an awful idea.

With the massive rise in crime due to liberal policies, gun control should be a dead issue.
